About the Project

This home is in the true sense a glorious amalgamation of classic forms and the renaissance style architecture. The Victorian color palette of jewel tones like teals, ochres, rose and amber tones are well layered with modern architectural forms like a floating marble staircase, fluted woods and minimal black metals.

Checkered black-and-white flooring, fluted oak panelling, a black metal mirror, an emerald green door, and an oversized black pendant — all layered beneath a skylight. This is the entrance of the house. Grand yet grounded, dramatic yet calm and quiet yet ornate is the vibe of the home.

As the home unfolds, you’re drawn through to the dining area with two brass pendants, ornate head chairs with carved wood and rich floral upholstery in deep green. While the living room has muted grey wall mouldings and the intricate rug in similar tones anchor the space with a sense of quiet elegance. An ivory sofa, ochre-patterned armchairs, and leather pouffes layer comfort and contrast. The lounge and powder room have been imagined as a moodier escape with the same restraint. Whether it’s an arch quietly hiding the intricate wallpapered ceiling or the tiger print wallpaper on the wall and ceiling of powder, it’s an elevated layer. The bedrooms take an understated, elite yet bold approach, almost like a softer extension of the house.
